Thomas, Emma, the first time I met your dad it felt a bit awkward, well I am engaged to your mum so its going to be awkward right
Since then weve met at Christmas time when your nan was still with us and he popped down your mums, maybe it was to pick you up that year Thomas cant recall
And he of course as youd expect came in to say hello to your Nan and Bamps etc.
But weve (Paul and I) also bumped into each other a few times in Tesco, Im not the most observant at times, and a bit preoccupied by other thoughts, so when I looked up and saw your dad at the other end of the pharmacy counter he immediately said hello Dave, and we shook hands and said hello Alright mate and Yeah, Yeah as you do.
And talked about pharmacy messing up as usual....
Since then over several years weve all been out for various birthday celebrations, be it Emmas and your Bamps Birthday (organised by your mum of course) etc...
My thoughts at this very sad time are...
Your dad being a past bouncer (politically correct term) Doorman, has/had always been to me a gentleman, a very nice person to have known, good fun and a person who loved his kids dearly.
Its still hard to believe he has gone, cant understand why, such is these strange times we are living in.
As you both know Ive wished you both condolences at this sad time and I hope tomorrow can go the best it can be under such circumstances. xxx
Deepest condolences to your family - they have lost a true gentleman who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Rest peacefully
