Post-retirement Violet gave freely of her time and kindness to the elderly and in need in her church and community. Prior to health considerations, Violet led an active and vibrant lifestyle. She was a courageous 25 year+ breast cancer survivor. Violet was an avid golfer, having served as Newport Golf Club Ladies’ Captain in 1994. Violet also enjoyed her family, bridge, travel, playing piano, and singing in her church choir. Family, friends, music, and her church community were Violet’s love and joy. She is loved fiercely; will forever be remembered and all memories of her will be cherished always. In lieu of flowers, and in the spirit of her unending generosity Violet’s family has requested that memorial contributions be made to The Alzheimer’s Society, alternatively, please perform a random act of kindness or pay it forward in her memory.
